Older version! I have uploaded a new adapter to my profile with less filament and a better fit on the printer :)

This innovative 3D model is specifically designed for 3D printers and allows filament to be fed directly from the table. The holder ensures that the filament no longer needs to be positioned above the printer, but is instead guided stably and efficiently from a lower position.

Advantages:

  1. Improved print quality
  2. Stability during taller prints
  3. Ergonomic design

With this 3D-printed filament guide, you optimize your printer's performance and achieve consistent, high-quality results with every printing project.

The external spool holder arm that came with my A1 is all one piece. I ordered and received it in January 2025. So, the cylindrical piece does not disassemble from the arm. The only piece that can be removed is the pivoting PTFE Connector. Is the design of my arm different than yours or am I missing something? I have come across a lot of changes to the A1 manufacturing design. They only affect things that we migth dissassemble. Several of the instructions in the unboxing video were wrong when I got my A1 a few months ago.

That's a good question Perhaps only screw the moving part into the printed adapter

I considered that. But then the pivoting piece would be right up against the other parts of the motor instead of extending off of the side. It turns out the newer printers come with external spool mounts that are one molded piece. That is why mine is differnet from yours. I ended up making a new piece to replace the cylyndrical section I was missing.

There were no issues with the print. I haven’t used it yet but it seems very useful, thanks for your model

It's a bit short because I probably have a new Bambu A1 version 🤔
