Description

This model is meant to add a 90 degree bend for the hose coming out of a kite pump. This makes it much easier to store and carry the pump around. There are some key dimensions the user may need to adjust so I have linked the onshape model and I will explain what to modify. Do take note of your hose diameter. These can differ by a lot. The other things to tweak have more to do with tolerances.

The files are meant to be printed using the strength profile for a 0.4 mm nozzle. So layer thickness of 0.2, and 6 walls with an infil of 25%.
I printed my stuff using Sunlu META PLA, but PETG is probably better for the hose holder.

There are two models to be edited:

Hose Holder


Kitepump 90 degree bend has three parameters that may need some tweaking:

Inlet_Outer_Diamter: 
This is the part that go's in to the pump (Blue rectangle), if it is to large or to small just double click the parameter and enter your value, I suggest increasing or decreasing in increments  of 0.05. Default value is 20.2, you make it 20.25, or 20.3 or 20.15 or 20.1. experiment and see what works.
 

Outlet_Inner_Diameter: 
This is the part where the hose will connect, the hose connector has to fit. (green rectangle)

Hight_Hook:
(Red Rectangle)The part where you attach a hose has a small hook/kink/hill the stubs/protrusions of the hose have to get over to lock in to their final position. I made this so it was harder for the hose to fall out. But you can increase or decrease the hight of this hill. I have highlighted what I mean in the two images below. It is meant to be so high you have to use some force to get over it, but not so high you cannot insert the hose fully or something breaks.



The hose holder has one parameter that needs to be edited and that is the inner diameter of the part holding te hose.
Hoses have different diameters. My F-One hose has a diameter of 23.2mm. But Mystic hoses have a diameter of 27.5mm
