Brick 4x6 Picture Frame
Print Profile(1)

Description
[June 2026 Update: If you're interested in a larger frame with more studs for decorating that fits a 5x7 picture, check out my new print model! The only downside is that it does not fit on an A1 Mini like my 4x6 model.]
This is a 4x6 photo frame with a brick-like frame. It makes a great gift for holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions. It includes a text plate to personalize the frame (and snaps on like a normal brick).
I began this design by pillaging the picture plate designed by Parupar on Thingiverse. I then improved on that model by designing a brick frame that fully snaps on over the perimeter of the picture plate (I used the “Ultimate Brick Customizer” on MakerWorld by OzarkExpeditions). I also designed/cut a brick stand to hold the picture frame (this stand can hold the frame either vertically or horizontally). Finally, I designed a text plate in order to personalize the frame (optional). My first test prints used Bambu PLA Basic and PLA Matte. More recently, I used PETG Basic White multiple times, each time with excellent results.
If you want to personalize the “TEXT PLATE” (Plate #4) in the Bambu Studio program, simply click on the text tool after selecting the text object (look underneath the plate to see the text--this brick prints upside-down) and then change the text, font, etc. on the drop-down menu. I also suggest printing the text plate on a smooth (vs. textured) print plate.
If you like this design but need a larger frame for a 5x7 photo, check out my brick 5x7 picture frame here. Also, check out ThePrintSmith's brick 5x7 photo frame for comparison--their 5x7 remix model has the same thickness as my original 4x6 frame, and you may decide you like ThePrintSmith's remix better.
[UPDATE: For those interested in having a clear plexiglass sheet to include on the front of their photo frame, these transparent acrylic sheets work perfectly for this model; a big thank you to jmcalhoun22 for the suggestion.]
Happy decorating!
P.S. - I would love to see how you designed your picture frame. Please post photos of your creation here if you're willing to share!
