["Open Source"] JAYO Plastic Filament Spool AMS Adapter Ring
Print Profile(1)

Description
I tried several community models, but the results weren't ideal, so I made my own.
I personally 3D printed and tested this about ten times. The model's dimensions are based on my own precise testing; however, since the actual printed dimensions may vary, I'm open-sourcing the model so that you can fine-tune it if necessary.
Note: After installation, the finished product shouldn't be too tight; some looseness is preferable. The two locking pins at the JAYO logo control slippage.
Feature Overview
- The outer ring measures 200mm after installation, adhering to the AMS factory standard.
- Wider sides increase the friction surface, reducing slippage during rotation.
- A full ring clasp design eliminates the need for supports. A slight gap is maintained on the ring surface to prevent deformation upon fastening, which would reduce the side friction area.
- Rounded edges on the exterior and a dedicated area to "hide" the Z-seam reduce the protrusion of the Z-seam and subsequent wear on the AMS retraction shaft.
Printing Recommendations
- It is recommended to use PETG or other higher-strength materials for enhanced durability.
- A 0.2MM layer height is suggested, with 3 walls and using the Arachne wall generator. Iron the top surface, and the seam position must be set to aligned.
- 100% infill is recommended.
Supports are not required.
