Simple Car to work with Maker's Beginner Kit
This car was created to work with the Maker's Beginner Kit, printing in under 4 hours. With tight tolerances and a belt to power your axles, this car can show new makers how 3D printing can produce great results!
Components from Kit:
030 Micro Motor
AAA Battery Pack
Rubber bands / O Ring
Printing:
- 2 Wheels (file linked)
- 2 Axles and Wheels (file linked)
- 1 Chasis (file linked)
There are two profiles linked, one for a solid colored car, and one for a multicolor car.
Assembly
- Insert your axles (with the one wheel printed with it) through the two holes in your chassis.
- Ensure the chamfer (the little “ramp” next to the wheel) is next to the motor hold.
- Put your O ring or rubber bands onto the chamfer (or little “ramp”).
- Insert the other two wheels onto the end of the axles.
- Insert your battery pack into the little area in the middle of the chassis
- Insert your motor into the hold
- Stretch your O ring or rubber band(s) onto the motor
- Connect Batter pack to Motor
- All done!
