This is a gridfinity battery recycling box with changeable symbols for dead batteries for proper disposal.

The box is 2x2 grids in size. The height is the standardized height of 2.

I made a few different symbols which can be changed. You can press the symbol inside the lid after the print has been finished.

Please select your desired symbol and lid type inside the print profile.

The print profile is pre colored.

The printing time for the box and the lid together is ~2,5 hours.

[NEW] Build plate No.7 contains now a Gridfinity version with magnet holes on the bottom.

I love this design! The set of logos provide for a good choice of options to pick a logo that make sense to the person printing it. Unfortunately, the box does not have magnet holes. Would you please be so kind an add magnet holes? There is no downside to having magnet holes. If one doesn't need magnets, there is no harm in not populating the magnet holes. But it is really difficult to add correctly-positioned magnet holes in the slicer. While it is trivial for the design with the CAD file to paste in a set of magnet holes. I and those who need magnets thank you!

@lukas_3d Thank you for listening and thank you for asking. Gridfinity uses 6x2mm magnets. Per the specs, the magnet holes should be 6.5mm in diameter and, based on my reading of the spec, 2.15mm deep. (There is no consensus on what the depth should be). You will find the positioning of the center of the holes at the same reference: https://gridfinity.xyz/specification/

@lukas_3d I am reasonably confident that there exist templates for many/most CAD software. If you let me know (including in PM) what software you are using, I might be able to find you a template that makes the job easier. Pro Tip: for the holes to print cleanly without print time consuming support that will be a pain to remove, use a technique called "bridging". The bridging technique is explained in almost overly exhaustive detail in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8FbHTcB05w Questions? Ask! And please be so kind as to let me know if you do release a variant of your box with magnet holes. Much appreciated!

Now the old batteries can be neatly collected and disposed of. And the whole thing looks significantly cooler than the old Tupperware box
