Description

I always wanted a steam train that actually moves to decorate the Christmas tree, but I was never able to find what I was looking for exactly. Enter the Christmas Tree Express!

  • Steam train with cars that rides around a circular railroad track
  • Train with moving wheels and coupling rods
  • Running on a total of 13 cogwheels
  • Including a cute and highly detailed train station

24/12/21: update! Added cars, optimized tolerances and reduced rolling resistance

DISCLAIMERS:

  • The train is designed to run on a flat surface. Putting it in a Christmas tree is possible but comes with a challenge to lay the tracks level. This can be particularly challenging in a real tree. If not level, irregularities can cause the train to get stuck
  • Don't let the train ride unattended - always disconnect if from the power source before leaving the room
  • Please use the included print profile and follow the assembly guide

Troubleshooting if your train doesn't run smoothly

  • Install it on a flat surface or make sure the tracks are as level as possible
  • If installed in a Christmas tree:
    • Make sure the train station is well supported below the signal cabin. Attach a piece of rope to the hook at the backside of the signal cabin base and hang it on a higher branch of the tree. This will increase support of the base to carry the weight of the TT motor
