Description

This is a long magazine for the popular Ruger 10-22 carbine. It's based on CAD files of the original magazine. The straight version has been tested at the range and works good. The curved version work with the charging handle but has not been tested at the range yet. It's a model from a few years back but it was stolen after I posted it on Thingiverse so it was removed from Makerworld and my appeal was refused. So I revamped my own design to repost it here since it was popular. You will need a 10mm diameter compress spring to load your rounds above the top follower.  I guess the hole could be reduced to fit a smaller spring.  What works great for me is 2 seperate 1x10mmx100mm springs interlaced into one another.  This way you can adjust the compression force depending on where you merge the 2 springs together.  Too much force will make the top follwer jam. Not enough force will not be able to lift the rounds into the chamber. The head at the top of the magazine is seperate because it was designed as a work in progress.  I made a few iterations of the head to get the top lip right.  It was not easy even though I had the CAD file of the original magazine.  It's  also useful to be able to print another head from time to time because it get worn out easilly if you use PLA.  There are 2 versions : one straight and one curved version which is a merge with my other model of magazine extensions (check my profile for a model with 3 different magazine extensions that you can fix underneath the orinal magazine for a great assault rifle look). I love the look! Both versions have an stl to be used with M3 heat inserts and also a version with the treads in plastic of the body. Choose what you prefer.  Enjoy.
