Description

For some reason the original model would cause the spout to be facing back towards the handle so I adjusted it so that screwing it on tight would cause the pour lip to be towards the outside of the container. This is on my 8lb container but I believe it fits the 6lb container as well.

I'm pleased to say that I took a chance and it DID for my 8 LB Wisesorb Desiccant bottle. I couldn't find one anywhere that stated it was compatible so I gambled it. Although the threads are not exactly the same coarseness it seals just fine. The width/ diameter appears to be exactly the same. the only thing that could make this better would be a threaded cap to close the spout as to not have to reinstall the original every time.

I appreciate you mentioning that and I think that's an excellent idea. I'll design one with a screw on cap that fits onto the spout. If you have calipers and would like to provide me the distance between threads I can also make one that will fit your bottle. If not, no big deal and I'll put up a new one with the screw on cap over the next few days.

I created a screw on cap but it ends up being a pain to print since the threads kind of need supports. In the meantime, I created a cap that just slides on and set the tolerances really tight. I can't imagine there being any kind of significant air flow through it and it definitely won't come off on accident. I'm adding it as a remix for this model now.

I will be in touch ASAP and I'll see about getting those measurements, but it's probably not a problem. I don't like half a$$ing things so I definitely would rather a known tolerance fitment. TTYS 🙂

I wanted to use this for my large bottle of distilled water, but I couldn’t properly adjust the threads. However, the model at 100% scale is perfect to glue the bottle cap inside of with a hole cut for pouring. Printed in PETG to be more water resistant, and it works perfectly!

Just a heads up, your title says 6 lbs. but the bottle in the picture is 8 lbs. Only mentioning this because when I searched for “Fonday 8lb”, I did not see this model originally and just happen to stumble on it later on.
