Description

The Design

A Festive Passthrough Cone. Compatible with the rest of the V3 Series

At 80mm (just over 3 inches) tall, it's size is between the V2 (small) series and the Original series.

Dimensions are approximately: 40mm x 40mm x 80mm

This model is more delicate than other as is to be expected.

3 Print Profiles from me:

Single Color normal printing

Single Color Print in place

Two Colour, parts print on one plate sequentially

Standard settings should work fine to slice.

Once printed let the build plate cool before trying to remove.

My Work

After many years in Engineering, I've decided to try and follow my childhood dream of becoming of a Creative Designer.

A Creative Designer of what? No idea! Right now I really like puzzles, mechanisms and kinetic sculptures so that's where I'm going to focus my efforts.

It's been a Roller Coaster but I'm almost there now!

Tried to print the two color single plate twice, both times there were issues with the first half of the print. Not sure what is causing this. I'm trying the PIP single color now, will update on how it printed.

Let me know how it goes. The issue photographed looks to me like a bed adhesion issue on the outer part. the outer part has a fairly small contact area. Could you give your build plate a really good clean with soapy water, dry it out and give it another go. Good luck!

Thanks for the response, Hoping to figure this out. Still have issues. I cleaned the plate before each print with rubbing alcohol. If it was an adhesion issue wouldn't it show on the lower layers also? Here is a picture of the PIP single color. I'm going to try your tree with the base.

The plate was soiled, so I washed it with detergent and then rinsed it with water, and it worked out well. Careful attention is required for the first layer

It was looking good when I went to bed last night, but woke up to find the top of the white part turned into a pile of spaghetti. Otherwise, looks and works great. Putting the white into the filament dryer and will try it again tonight. Update: Cleaned plate, dried filament, and reprinted without issues.

Ah fustrating, make sure the build plate is clean and level. And hopefully it will go better. If your just trying to print the 1 part, maybe move it in the slicer to a different location on the build plate too. Cheers

Rj makes the best designs! The snowflake looks awesome on the bottom. the extra grooves on the side really help it stand out.

Printed perfectly! a friend asked a few of these as stocking stuffers for Christmas. I found I got a cleaner print when I printed the PIP single color and then mixed and matched pieces.
