Stackable Gridfinity inserts for IKEA Alex drawers.
These inserts accommodate 4x6 Gridfinity grids; three inserts fit into a drawer and can be stacked. In deep drawers, the boxes rest comfortably on the drawer edge, allowing larger items to be stored underneath. The inserts are movable within the drawers and can therefore also be used as drawers within drawers. And best of all, all common Gridfinity boxes fit inside!

A box consists of two identical halves, as otherwise they would not fit on the print bed. Filament remnants can be used to join them (see images); additionally, a few drops of super glue are recommended.

Due to the Gridfinity system and its inherent limitation to the size of the grids, narrow margins remain on the left and right, which can be filled with individual boxes and elements.

Thank you for the model and more thank you for uploading the STEP file. I remixed it to include the taller drawer version. https://makerworld.com/en/models/1154595

I like the way you store the paints, could you share the link to the paint holders?

Prints nicely, and the two parts fit together surprisingly well. With a bit of superglue, it seems strong enough to do the job - though time will tell. I'll likely use bins that cross over the central join to be safe though. Changed the wall loops to 4 for added strength, and added a colour change for the last few layers to make it pop a bit.

I know, thats a bit confusing and unfortunate, but this is necessary for the interlocking geometry for the assembly

Still waiting on the second half to print, but I want to mention that Orca Slicer wants to put supports on top of the grid. May want to check the model for errant vertices.

Did you end up printing it without supports and if so, did it turn out ok?

Love that it was already made, because otherwise I would have had to make it 😁. It prints out well - only problem is that I could do with a few more printers just with all the Gridfinity I am printing out and this one occupies my printer for a looong time, before I manage to fill just one drawer! Thank you for the make.

Instead of horizontal, I made some adjustment into vertical to fit my custom made drawer size. Perfect model. Appreciated much.

Nice extra storage for my Alex drawers. Easy to print and the two parts just snap together.

I gotta say, I love it and worth the print. They're stackable and can fit 3 boxes in one drawer! Gonna print 3 more for the 2nd drawer. Instead of using the filament to connect the trays together, I used the "Round Steel Metal Rods, 1.7mm x 200mm" and I cut it to length since I'm worried about it being brittle or it can snap anytime, excpet 1 tray with filament to see how it holds up. This is overall the best design and print👍
