Description

This is a mount for a kinect sensor. Unlike many of the others on thingiverse this one is designed to be a very secure mount, while at the same time allowing the sensor to be easily removed.

It uses sliding lugs to securely latch the kinect sensor to the mount. These mounts are tightened and held in place with 20mm M3 bolts and embedded nuts.

The mount attaches to either an Arca style tripod mount, or the 19 or 25.4mm pole mounts with a 1/4" bolt (as used in camera equipment).

The pole mounts use M5 bolts with embedded nuts.

The sensor mount also has two grooves under it, 10mm offset from the mount centre, designed to fit 30.0 x 2.0 x 1.2mm ridges as seen on the arca or pole clamps. They are there to prevent the clamp twisting on the mount. If you wish to design your own clamps, you may want to include these ridges to prevent loosening/twisting.
