Sliding Board for Cooking Chef XL
Print Profile(2)

Description
My wife suggested purchasing a sliding board for our Kenwood Cooking Chef XL to safeguard the integrated scale, anticipating a cost of approximately fifty dollars. However, after six months of procrastination, I decided to design my own, investing a few days (and several beers) in the endeavor.
To spare your wives the protracted wait mine endured, I am pleased to share my creation.
I printed it on the BambuLab A1 using Jayo PLA+. Given its thirty-nine-centimeter length, I employed a dovetail joint to facilitate printing. The project file is configured for thirty percent infill, three walls, and supports.
Those who prefer manual assembly may utilize the raw file.
With my chosen settings, the board demonstrates ample strength for both pushing and pulling when lifting the front edge. For enhanced glide, I affixed felt gliders to the rear and rubber bumpers to the front.
Edit 10.04.2025:
I've incorporated a revised profile, designated V2, featuring shallower foot holes. This adjustment addresses scaling issues encountered with the Cooking Chef.
Furthermore, I've included spacers for those who have already printed the original version.

My wife proposed purchasing a sliding board for our Kenwood Cooking Chef XL to protect the built-in scale, estimating the cost at approximately fifty euros. I responded with a playful "hold my beer," and six months later, after a few days (and beers), I designed my own.
To prevent your wives from enduring a similar delay, I offer this design for your use.
I printed it on the BambuLab A1 using Jayo PLA+. The board's total length of approximately thirty-nine centimeters necessitated a dovetail joint. The project file is configured for thirty percent infill, three walls, and supports.
If you prefer to cut it yourself, please feel free to use the raw file.
Using my settings, the board is undeniably robust enough for pushing and pulling. For improved gliding, I incorporated felt gliders at the rear and rubber (or silicone) bumpers at the front.
