NovaHeadware Protoype Quest 3/3s Helmet

It all started while I was printing out an Iron Man helmet for fun while my Quest 3 hung next to the printer. With the headset's passthrough and AR features, I realized a practical cyber helmet that was more than just a wearable art piece was possible. After several rounds of prototyping with plenty of trial and error, I'm making one of my prototypes available here for free.99.

The helmet clips directly over Meta's Standard or Elite straps for the Quest 3 and helps to redistribute weight around the head. Feel free to add padding where needed. The lower faceplate has cutouts for 3 8x2mm magnets so that it can easily be taken on and off of the headset. Pairing magnets can be added to the headset using semi-permanent foam adhesive.

The helmet is a snug fit on a head with a circumference of 23.5 in (60cm or 7 1/2" fitted hat size). Edges on the inner clips for the headset will be uncomfortable if your head is on the larger side so be prepared to add some padding! While the helmet can be worn for light to medium activity without heat or fogging issues, a neck fan is recommended for added ventilation during extended or strenuous use.

Update 1 1.8.26 - Happy to confirm that the prototype helmet will work with the Quest 3s now that I managed to get my hands on one to start modeling and adapting my previous designs around. Made minor updates to the model page and tags.
