Description
This portable TS457 internal resistance meter test stand addresses the shortcomings of existing versions—either lacking a test socket or being excessively bulky—by offering a compact, custom-designed alternative. The probe is retractable, ensuring compatibility with both 18650 and 21700 batteries. The sliding probe utilizes a purchased 18650 test jig probe, with eight 4mm diameter x 1.5mm high magnets providing precise positioning. The entire assembly is secured using twelve M3 x 14 countersunk socket cap screws. Internal power is supplied by a single 18650 battery, charged via an integrated miniature ternary lithium battery charging board. Currently, no external probe interface is provided.
I employed matte PLA for printing; however, PETG or PLA are equally suitable. Upon assembly, some initial stiffness in the slide mechanism may be experienced; this should resolve with repeated use.
