Description
This is a remarkable device for automatically cleaning filament. It effectively prevents dust and impurities from entering the print head, thus mitigating the risk of clogging.
This model is an optimization of the design published by Haprog on Pixiv.
The original model featured a 4mm diameter hole, which proved inconvenient in practice. The upper and lower PTFE tubes would merge due to tension, preventing the sponge from contacting the filament. Therefore, I've incorporated a positioning structure with a 2mm hole for filament passage, separating the PTFE tubes and allowing the sponge to effectively clean the filament.
Two 25x15mm pieces of kitchen sponge are required for the sponge section. A height exceeding 7mm is sufficient.
An AMS-compatible version is also provided. This features a 4mm hole for clamping the PTFE tube at one end and a 2mm filament exit at the other. Please download the appropriate configuration based on your specific needs.
