Description

By popular demand here is a larger version of one of the previous terrariums I designed, it uses ready cut 200x150x2mm Acrylic photo frame panels which can be purchased on Amazon. It can be used for a multitude of projects such as mossariums, terrarium biomes, insect breeding for reptiles, and even keeping arachnids or other critters.

This version has a 3d printed ventilation panel allowing customisation of the mesh size. To adjust the size of the mesh simply click on the vent panel in the slicer and change the infill percentage, as default I have set it to 70% which gives holes of about 2mm which is fine for most uses, but you can now adjust as needed :)

It should snap together nicely so no hardware is needed.

These are printing fine without a brim so I haven't included one in the profile, I use PLA on the Bambu textured PEI plates and adhesion has not been an issue with the large surface area. but you can always add one in the slicer if you are using more challenging material.

Order of assembly is Floor, Back wall, Right and Left panel, Slide the top Acrylic into place, then the front window slides down and nests into the recess. The small handle can then have a small dab of superglue squidged into the gap and then slides down into the middle of the front panel as can be seen in the photo.

I have a range of accessories on the way for these and some alternative options, if there is anything you would like included in the design please let me know and I will do my best to help!

I'd love to see what everyone does with them so please post photo's of your completed build.
