Compact Housing for Smart Sensor System

This housing is specifically designed for the HC-SR501 motion sensor, paired with a DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor, an LDR light sensor, and the ESP8266 Wemos D1 Mini. It offers an elegant and space-saving solution, ideal for use with ESPHome and Home Assistant.

Electronics

  • ESP8266 Wemos D1 Mini: Microcontroller for integration with ESPHome and Home Assistant.
  • HC-SR501 Motion Sensor: Detects movement within the vicinity.
  • DHT11 Temperature and Humidity Sensor: Measures environmental temperature and humidity.
  • LDR (Light Dependent Resistor): Measures ambient light levels.
  • Resistors:
    • 5 kΩ pull-up resistor between VCC and DATA (for the DHT11).
    • 10 kΩ resistor between the LDR and Ground.
  • Jumper Wires: To connect components together.
  • Micro-USB Power Supply: To power the ESP8266 module.

Enclosure and Accessories

  • 3D-Printed Housing:
    • Optionally print the Wemos_D1_BWM_case model in Fuzzy Skin Mode for a unique texture.
    • Note: There is also a Wemos_D1_BWM_lid_V1 available as an alternative lid design.
  • Screws: to mount the cover plate.
