Flat Nose Pliers

The 3D-printed Flat Nose Pliers is a functional tool designed for light gripping and bending tasks. Comprising three separate parts, this pliers model is easy to assemble and durable enough for everyday use when printed with the appropriate material.

Features

Printing Instructions

  1. Material Recommendations:
    • PETG or ABS: Durable and resistant to wear.
    • PLA: Suitable for lighter, decorative purposes.
  2. Print Settings:
    • Layer Height: 0.2 mm for a balance of strength and detail.
    • Infill: 30–40% (Gyroid or Grid recommended).
    • Wall Thickness: 1.2 mm (3 perimeters).
    • Supports: Required for the pinholes and jaw overhangs.
  3. Adhesion:
    • Use a heated bed set to 50–60°C (PLA) or 70–90°C (PETG/ABS).
    • Add a brim or raft if needed for better stability.
  4. Post-Processing:
    • Sand the pin slightly for a smoother fit.
    • Use super glue or epoxy to secure the pin into the handles and jaws for a sturdy connection.

Assembly

  1. Step 1: Align the jaws with the handle ends.
  2. Step 2: Insert the pin through the central holes of the handles and jaws.
  3. Step 3: Apply glue to the pin and press it firmly into place. Allow adequate drying time before use.

Usage Instructions

  • Ideal for light tasks such as gripping small objects, bending wires, or crafting.
  • Avoid using the pliers for heavy-duty tasks or high-pressure gripping to maintain the longevity of the tool.

Absolutely perfect i printed these out of curiosity and to bend my build plate until my nitrile gloves arrived these are in my opinion better then the bed scrapers and a better use of Filament Although I will admit that towards the tips of it it does show signs of significant give but it might be because i printed them in PLA+ Perhaps a different type will yield greater results
