Is a top cover needed? I am just worried about the bottom accidentally touching metal objects and causing a short circuit. If needed, I will design a fully enclosed one

Perfect, flawless print. On my Nano-China clone, the pins are slightly further out. The Dumont connectors no longer fit. About 1.5 mm more space in the slots would solve the problem. The fit is excellent. The Nano sits perfectly. Thank you for the template
