Description

Hi!

I have adapted my Joystick mod for the Ally X to fit on the base Ally!

It lets you use the swappable sticks from the Xbox Elite 2 controller.

The magnets are 4mm diameter and 2mm thick.

The extention is for added security when using the longest sticks. Make sure that the magnets are in the orientation that the stick and extention will attract each other.

Printed at .08mm height in PLA and it came out great! Added a print profile for my print as well.

did you use support or anything? mine are not coming out right on the bottom were it connects to the joysick

Same with me.. The tolerances seem to be very tight and there is a floating piece where the stem goes in that requires support. I dont think it needs that much open area so would be nice if the area where the stem goes in was thicker.

Printed in Bambu Lab PLA Matte originally and accidentally pushed the shaft into the dome when testing out the sticks. Reprinted in in Overture PETG and superglued magnet in place.

does adding a magnet have any negative effects on hall effect stick mod?

None at all! Although if its for the base ally, dont do hall effect. The triggers magnets interfere with the hall sensors meaning that you have to set a huge deadzone that defeats the purpose of hall sticks

Hi Kira, when I fitted I only did the RH stick, no interference but the LH did when I tried it

would this work with ABS? or is it specifically designed to be printed with PLA?

Hi! As long as your prints dimensions match the models, it will work with any filament :)

I don't own a printer yet I was planning on ordering it off PCB way but I figured id make it out of ABS like the sticks that come with the elite series 2 controller. Does PCB way have all the parameters i can configure for them to print it properly?
