Description

1:42 scale, just like my other vehicles. This design has a lot of parts, but don't be scared, it's not hard to assemble. The chassis should be printed first, and then everything else goes onto the chassis. The wheels should be attached to the axles I designed, and then placed on the chassis. The cab should be pre-assembled with the mirrors, and then added to the chassis, along with the base for the launcher. Quick note, the launcher swivel needs to be printed on its side and then glued to the chassis. The rest of the assembly is straightforward.

A paperclip is needed to serve as the axle for the launcher. Unfold the paperclip, and then slide in into the hinges, and fold the edges to stop it from moving out. The launcher stand should slot into the pin on the side of the launcher base, and it can fold up or down to hold to support the launcher itself. While the GMLRS doesn't technically have to be glued on, I recommend doing so unless you want the rocket pod to be easy to swap out for an ATACMS, however I didn't model an ATACMS and I don't plan to.

Tried to Upload a Profile but Bambu hates Orca. Exactly what side should the swivel be placed on?

Sorry for the late reply, the swivel should be placed according to the image on the right.

Hello I love the print. I can't figure out how to get the pod to rotate. The swivel only fits one way as far as I can see. Please help me understand

Yes, the swivel only goes in one way. It’s supposed to go in backwards and then rotate around.

Great model over all! My A1 Mini had some difficulties with the chassis and all those tree supports but other than that the model came out looking great once I finished painting. I was a 13M serving in the US Army and was looking for my launcher the M270 but the models on bambu lab that I found were not that great and wouldn't print very well at all. I found this model of the HIMARS and had learned of the launcher when deployed in South Korea. I never got to see one but I really enjoyed printing. assembling, and painting this model of the M142 HIMARS! Thank You! 🇺🇸🪖🫡

Great model and the objects that needed support material broke off really easy. But first of all why would you have the pics on a grey background with the model all dark grey too makes even harder how to put together!! Plus your instruction really suck !! I have the following 4 left over pieces circled in red I have no clue where they go. Yes most things were obvious where they went together. I believe the yellow grill I have circled in red goes on the front somehow. If you could please update the instructions or at least help me get this completed so my son can play with it. The yellow color is actually glow filament!!

Cool, but some parts are too slender and prone to breakage

You actually have to get under the lip to clean out burs and little strings of filament to get it to swivel !! It tool me about 10 minutes to clean it out before it would swivel
