Description

Why another LACK model?

The standard LACK enclosure designs tend to be really wobbly unless they are bolted to a wall or heavily reinforced with support brackets. My solution is to lower the printer, and thus the centre of gravity, as close to the floor as possible whilst maintaining some space for ventilation air intake.

Lowering the enclosure by 400mm is probably enough to reduce wobble, but for extra stability, I added a diagonal protrusion with a screw hole on the underside of the tabletop. I think it will add some rigidity to the whole setup, but I've yet to assemble and test it, so it remains to be seen.

Hardware

You will need five 3x20 countersunk wood screws. I'm using 25mm screws because that's what I've got in stock at home, but it would probably be beneficial to shave off those 5 extra millimetres.
