Pandraulis (organ pipe pan flute)
Print Profile(1)

Description
The pandraulis is a handheld pipe organ (or a fancy whistle panflute). This design has the following characteristics:
―16 double-languid Geigenprincipal pipes.
―G4 to A6 range
―Diatonic; Tunes to any key signature up to 7 flats or sharps. Enharmonic keys differ slightly in tone.
―Staggered mouthpiece holes allow playing thirds (and seconds) easily.
―It is possible (though not easy) to play chromatically by partially covering the pipe ends to flatten them.
This is a challenging build. It takes 6-8 hours to hand finish and assemble all 102 parts.
Tools required:
―Scalpel with a new blade
―Pointy tweezers
―Scissors
―Feeler gauge set with a few values between 0.2mm and 0.3mm
―Fine-tip marker that writes on PLA (sadly, no such thing seems to exist)
Additional materials required:
―Weather stripping foam 3/8"×1/16'
―Super glue (or other glue)
―Cork grease (or lip balm, or petrolium jelly)
―2mm diameter kitchen twine
―Rubbing alcohol and tissues (for removing grease if necessary)

Enjoy!
(P.S. I made the word "pandraulis" up. I originally set out to design a portative organ, but I wanted a way to test play the pipes before designing the portative body, and it turned out to be a fun instrument in its own right.)
