A Replica of the Necklace Pendant from 'The Illusionist'

Many years ago, I saw 'The Illusionist'. I've forgotten the plot, but a small pendant from the film remains vividly in my memory. I attempted to recreate it using a 3D printer. I hope you enjoy it. I hope he/she enjoys it.

Accessories: You will need to prepare 12 magnets with a diameter of 3MM and a height of 2.5MM. When installing the magnets, pay close attention to the polarity of the magnets to ensure success.

Because it is a small object and requires assembly, to ensure a more refined print and a stable completion, I used the thinnest layer height and, on the Bambu A1, employed the quiet mode (50% speed). (Subsequent tests showed that normal speed is also acceptable)

Although the print time is somewhat long, for my beloved, it is time well spent.

Testing suggests using PLA. The second configuration uses PETG, and 0.12 layer height is also feasible. However, with 0.16 and 2.0 layer heights, the spherical hinges exhibited excessive shrinkage, preventing proper articulation (too loose). While I could modify the model to improve this, 0.16 and 2.0 layer heights save some time, but compromise surface smoothness. Therefore, 0.08 or 0.12 layer height is recommended.
