Description

These bumpers for the the HTC Vive controllers were made in an effort to reduce damage when they are struck against a surface. Ideally, these bumpers should break from impact before the controllers themselves do. The two separate halves can be joined together by a single M5 screw and nut. Using a winged nut helps speed up assembly and disassembly if you are having to regularly replace these.

This model was built from the ground up in Fusion 360, but is based on the design by Kf52t on Thingiverse. It appears their account no longer exists. However, I feel it's necessary to give credit where credit is due for the original design.

Unfortunately, I no longer posses the original CAD models, so I can only offer the .stl files for printing. However, I encourage everyone to iterate on this design if you feel there are improvements that could be made.
