I have a Knaus Boxlife, I think it should also be the 230mm version Did you simply use the existing holes/screws to mount the handle or how did you mount the handle? Thanks

I measured the distance between the existing holes and chose the corresponding version (in my case the 230mm one)

Hello, I hope you are well. I have a Citroën Jumper 2015 L2H2, and I don’t see any holes. I am attaching a photo of my side door. Could you please advise me where I should mount it?

I see you're converting a campervan yourself. That's absolutely no problem. Many "ready-made" models have covers that are attached to the door with screws. It makes sense to use the existing screw holes. You have a free choice when it comes to door handles. The important thing is to mark the position beforehand and only pre-drill small holes (2-2.5 mm). Use a center punch to mark the position before drilling. Use good quality self-tapping sheet metal screws. I recommend the 180 mm handle. It's not too big, but not too small either, and the force transmission to the door is excellent. I hope you enjoy the handle and, of course, even more fun and success with your campervan conversion.

Printing the 300mm version on my P1S. I cut it in half, will likely use a steel rod inside.

At the beginning of the project, I put a lot of thought into safety and, with the help of colleagues at work, tested the handle for safety. I also had the idea (at the time, with a printer with a 300x300 bed) to offer a handle with 40 or 42 cm, just as you describe it now. We used an M10 threaded rod over 90% of the length. It "actually" worked well. However, the bonding where the two parts were glued together in the middle failed after (simulated) approximately 3-6 months, and skin could get pinched during operation. Please note this. Thinking about it again now... For static reasons, I would now divide the handle into 3 parts, so that the bonding areas are further to the edge. The middle piece approximately 20-23 cm. It is definitely a good idea, which I will continue to consider in order to offer handles > 27.5 cm for printers <30x30 cm as well

can anyone tell me; did you remove trim clips and find existing screw/screw holes behind them?

In my Poessl 2Win we had small 3-3.5mm screws. We removed the screws and used bigger one to fasten the handle.

thanks! Love this model, but in my Adria Twin campervan the distance between the screw holes is 330mm, and thats too big a handle for the print plate ;-)

Is it possible to add the 300mm version? Maybe tilt the model to fit on the board? I can scale the model but the dimensions don't match then... Thanks in advance, I will boost you!

I will upload a corresponding H2 series 3MF file in the next few days. For non-H2 printers, the handle will not fit on the print bed! You can already download the STL file. Instead of the 3MF file, you can change the format on the download button and download the STL/CAD file - in your case "doorhandle_300mm-c_Summit.stl". Simply import it to the corresponding material file. When I uploaded the corresponding profile files back then, the 300mm unfortunately did not fit on the print bed. With the H2 models, this should no longer be a problem.
