Parametric Rugged Travel Box for injectable HRT

Hello friendly injectables users :D

Update 04/02/2025

• Updated the Fusion 360 model to support more vial customization, will crap out less and dimensions are more defined by the HRT_* parameters. Try playing around with the vial column, row and chamber height and let me know if it breaks :D

• example custom config with 2 vial rows, 3 columns and a very tall inner chamber (40mm)

   

Update 21/12/2024

• Looked through the box of scraps again and found the 6th small screw, so updated the profile to only need the short 16mm fully threaded screws. These can be purchased from the maker-supply link in the BOM :)
• latch is now even more clicky and satisfying :3

Specification

This is a fully parametric (fusion 360) rugged box remix meant to be used for on-the-go medical injections.

The default inserts provide dedicated space for:

• 2 vials 
• 4 syringe slots
• a bunch of 50x50mm wipe packets
• a hidden compartment

The hidden compartment can be used for storing used sharps, additional sharps, or hopes and dreams (not included).

Feel free to edit the model to suit your needs, but please post your print profile with your modifications listed so more people can enjoy it :))

Important notes, read before printing

This configuration uses the left-over screws that come with the X1C Combo. They are used to hold down the AMS and bed during shipping. You can supplement the short screws with the BT3x16 BHCS Self Tapping Screws listed in the BOM. I couldn't find a source for the longer partially-threaded variant, so might need to print modified latches with a slightly bigger opening to fit the threads. No longer applies, see update

The latches are on a separate plate, so you can experiment with tolerances or sizes in general.

The box is designed to use a 10mm thick foam insert in the lid, see here for the one I used. It is 5mm thick, but is big enough to cut out 2 pieces and stack them inside.

The specific configuration that I use and what the print profile is set up for:

• UniSharp 0.3ml 31G insulin needles (pink)
• 10ml vials from AV (no I will not elaborate, if you know, you know)
• 50x50mm UniSwab pre-injection wipes
