Quality Recommendation:

For optimal results, I recommend using PLA-Silk filament to 3D print the distributor and tamper surfaces.

User Manual:

Grind espresso into the portafilter.
Use the distributor to spread the coffee grounds and rotate counterclockwise.
Use the distributor to level the coffee grounds by rotating clockwise.
Use the tamper to polish the coffee grounds smoothly.
Adjust the height of the tools if needed (adjustment range approx. 3-18mm).

Sorry for the late reply. Its Bambu Dark Green Matte PLA (11501) & Bambu PLA Silk Copper (As far as I remember. Was a sample spool)

the first one I printed I didn’t even pay attention to the size. It was the the 58mm. When I printed the 54mm it still didn’t quite fit my Breville portafilter. I scaled it down to 43mm and it fits perfectly. Since that fit I scaled everything else down the same percentage to match. It was 90.61. I’m now printing all the other parts. Hopefully it works out.

everything works except the top. It’s a little too tight to fit the threads. I noticed in the profile it was actually slightly scaled above 100% compared to everything else. so if I scale it up a little it should be perfect.

Thanks! Believe it or not those are the same multicolor filament, printed strategically. As a note, in the 54mm version the distributor is a really snug fit. I can get it in but it’s tight and sometimes pulls the basket out of the portafilter. I’m hoping it’ll get better with use. The Tamper is absolutely perfect.

Could you tell me what size you printed? The filament used might also be a factor, you can scale the thread in X+Y to improve the fit

The models themselves are a mixed bag: The leveller is pretty poor imo. As you can see from the photo, LOTS of grounds left on the leveller itself - do you throw this away (wasteful) or scrape it onto the puck (which then isn’t level anymore)? 3/5 So I printed the tamper part to act as a leveller alone and this did much better (see photo) with only a few grounds left on it. 4.5/5 Summary: Thank you for this - allowed me to scratch an itch and see if it was useful before tamping when you could just level AND tamp with tamper alone (place gently on top and twist with no pressure first then tamp- which is what I’ve been doing as it’s more efficient for me in my workflow) but for those who do use one I would recommend using the tamper as a leveller - good grip and feel.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. You can try to smooth the surface when printing (this is preset in the print profile) and counteract coffee adhesion with smoother filament. I use Silk Filament for a very smooth surface

Very cool system. Love the color coding. If you're printing it for the classic Bialetti Moka, scaling the middle to 90% and the outer screws to 91% fits perfectly. Thanks for sharing.
