Hello,

for those that don't know my ‘insert philosophy’ - I am creating modular inserts that are focused on reducing setup and space on table, filament consumption is not my highest priority, but of course I'm trying to save some material where I can.

Update 21.05.2024 - version 2.0:

  • I replaced ALL the files, that is pretty massive update, old files are in Version 1 archive,
  • insert no longer supports Unserfamily keg dice holder - in my group it was fun at first, but after some time only 1 keg dice holder was not enough,
  • at least 250g lighter - previous version with my current settings - 1.25kg, new version - 990g,
  • 20 models resulting in 41 items in 1st version vs 13 models resulting in 27 items, insert simplified by a lot, resulting in easier teardown,
  • card holders updated to my latest design - it's a lot easier to take and put back cards,
  • schnapps and signatures holder now has a cover,
  • removed the need to use supports - insert is support-free,
  • removed the need to use magnets - holders updated to use my latest cover design,
  • player dashboard enforced a bit and split into two files (instead of 3) - it doesn't need to be glued, but it does require a larger print bed - at least 227 x 239,
  • lid lift completely removed, in fact there is a bit more space left (around 2-3mm),
  • replaced description and photos.

Important Notes:

  • Clearence for holder covers is very small - 0.2mm horizontal. Please print the smallest holder and cover for it to check if it fits, if not you may need to calibrate printer or enlarge cover a bit (adding 0.2-0.4mm to the width in the slicer should be enough),
  • Clearence for Dashboard joints is 0.2mm, you may need to sand it down a little.

Supports:

  • vertical storage,
  • Open Doors expansion,
  • sleeves 70 micron - this is mainly designed for 70 microns sleeves (I use Sloyca).

This insert features:

  • player holders - everything except coasters, everything has it's own space. I think it should there is enough space for custom markers (like small beer mugs etc.). Under main card compartment there is space for 3 cards from modules. During the game you can use main card compartment for storing your deck,
  • player dashboard - for storing assembled tavern,
  • market cards holders - one main card holder for cards 4-6, few other for 1-3 cards,
  • guest cards holders - one for noblemans, one for mages, one for 3 beer worth cards and under it - all other guest cards,
  • module components holder - for modules components and 4-6 cards holder,
  • schnapps and signatures holder,
  • room upgrades and markers holder - for everything else,

Requirements:

  • about 990g (depends on your settings, I printed with 15% gyroid infill, 2 walls, 5 top and 3 bottom layers),
  • at least 227mm x 239mm print bed.

Instructions:

Supports - no supports required.

  • every file ended with xX (for example x16) - print X times (in given example - 16 times),
  • Player_Dashboard_Left and Right - you will need to assemble the dashboard, it's fairly easy but do it slowly - 2 of the joints from the right part needs to go over, 2 under the left part. It does not need glue, it's very strong without it, but you can add it if you want (I didn't),
  • refer to pictures how to organize the box.

What future holds:

  • This insert is done, I don't think that I will come back to it, but who knows ;).

Enjoy!

...I believe that the creator Sortirus has uploaded the wrong file in the print profiles here. On Printables, he has the same inlay https://www.printables.com/model/488743-taverns-of-tiefenthal-board-game-insert-organizer/files and here in the files there is a container that is a bit smaller. I printed this one and now everything fits in the box... @Sortirus please adjust the print profile here if necessary :)

Does this not fit the NorthStar Games version of the game? I was not able to fit the dice in the player boxes.

Did everything else fit for you? I too printed the player boxes and unfortunately have the same issue, but haven't printed anything else from this. If not, did you go elsewhere for an insert?

im new in printing. I though i just could take the model and print. But the boxes that i've printed, are too big. My second problem is that the little diamonds...have plastic in them.. i understand that it is for the structure.. but i can not remove them without breaking the box. Can someone give me advise?

great design!! I’m really happy, this upgrades the gameplay experience significantly 🤩👍. could you provide one photo with all components next to each other? I have a A1 mini and can print everything except the board placement. I have some trouble figuring out where the holder with the icons go??? they look nice but seems to double the function of the employee card holders… 🤷‍♂️ thanks, it’s brilliant

Thanks a lot! I was looking for something like this, especially the boxes per player are nice. Possible suggestion for the lids: add a snap-fit locking but printed it as is because it's already very good (and I'm not particularly good at modelling myself)
