Type C charging Golden Snitch

This fragile toy is for DIY fun only, no commercial use
Note: Golden Silk PLA has poor layer adhesion and is not suitable for printing wings and eccentric wheels It is recommended to use yellow or white PETG, as PETG has good toughness and is not easy to break
This is an easy-to-assemble Golden Snitch with flapping wings The list of items to purchase is as follows
1 M10 micro motor DC3V-3.7V Cost: 0.6-1 RMB
2 2-slot AA battery holder Cost: 2 RMB
3 2 AA batteries
4 502 glue/hot glue
5 AB glue/metal glue
Assembly steps
1 Use metal glue or AB glue to fix the eccentric wheel to the motor The larger one is for slow speed, the smaller one is for high speed, choose according to your preference

2 Pass the wires through the bottom of the Golden Snitch and connect them to the motor

3 Pass the wings through both sides of the Golden Snitch and attach them to its eccentric wheels If the wings feel significant friction, first sand the round holes, as this will affect performance Once smooth, you can close the cover Make sure it's flush, don't press it inward Ensure the wings have room to move freely to flap Finally, seal the cover with hot glue or 502 glue

4 Prepare for power-on test Position the motor flush with the red protruding part of the model After placing it, press the motor with your finger and power it on to see if the wings flap normally If there's an issue, slightly adjust the motor closer to the wings or check if the wings are stuck If there are no abnormalities, you can fix the motor with hot glue or 502 glue Note: Button batteries cannot be used, as the current is insufficient to drive it Rechargeable batteries are also not recommended, as they are 1.2V, which is insufficient voltage

Finally, if everything is normal, insert the positioning pins and assemble it It is not recommended to seal it permanently, to facilitate part replacement These motors break easily, and the wings are intentionally made thin for aesthetics, making them prone to breaking After completion, simply wrap the battery box around the back base The Snitch can be fixed to your hand with hot glue or you can press it down slightly so your fingers hold it
