Description
This cute little hummingbird house resembles an elongated acorn and is easy to print. The top cap has a hole for hanging and is threaded to make opening the house for cleaning a breeze.
Printing
Prints on two plates to support single material printers without an AMS. The top cap is set to print with fuzzy skin to add a touch of texture, but can be disable in the object settings for a smooth finish.
I used PLA, but ASA would be best for outdoor use.
Assembly
Assembly is very easy. Screw on the top cap onto the house. The threads may be a little tight but will loosen if worked in a bit. Next, add a small rope through the top hole for hanging. I used some 2mm jute twine. Hang high in a tree and enjoy!
Notes
the top cap seems to trigger a false spaghetti detection alert on my X1C for some reason. Consider disabling this or keeping a eye on the top part in case it pauses.
