Description

A grip for the New Nintendo 3DS XL with soft padding that can be printed in TPU or TPE to prevent scratches.

Print the 2 parts:

Hard part - print with a rigid material like PLA
Soft part - print in TPU or TPE

Putting the 2 parts together should be easy with the grooves that will keep the 2 parts in-place.

I provided 2 grip models: a blank one, and an embossed with a Link design.

I also provided a model that can be printed in one piece with a rigid material if you want to skip the soft padding part.

This worked well for me! Just had to make sure the excess filament is removed on the slots on the tpu print. Printing in a glass blue to match the TPU now!

perfect print with the separate profile I printed the rigid part in petg and the soft part in tpu for bambulab ams perfect

I printed the full/no padding one. It's too big for my new nintendo 3ds xl and not just a little bit. Its way too big. I can lift my n3dsxl out like it's not even in a holder.

Not exactly sure as I don't have that. A good idea would be to print the single piece model (plate 4) with your cheapest filament. Let me know if it fits!

they are not the same size so most likely it wont work the same

They are not the same, but I used 3M command strips to attach it. Works though not easy to get to the volume

full print without the padding is too big. It fits and can be used, but tilting it towards you will have the 3ds fall out. It will also slide out if turned upside down. Otherwise, it's actually pretty comfortable to hold.
