Spool Mounting System (Electrical Wire)

The Spool Mounting System is a way of organizing, storing, accessing and using wire in a quick, simple and easy way. It holds all spools of wire within a compact form factor providing a wide variety of up to eight colours. Enabling the user to easily access and measure wire lengths making the process cutting the correct length quick and simple. This system is designed for the Jaycar (Hook-Up Wire Pack - 2 metres
CAT.NO: WH3025) as the dimension of the press fit spools comfortably secure and fit 2m of each of the eight colours found within the pack.

Main Features

• Ultimate Wire Spool - A wire spool printed in male and female sides which fits together perfectly with a snap fit lock and provides a simple and easy to use press fit fastener for the wire to be easily spooled up from the female side of the spool (TIP: Press fit the wire before snap locking the spools sides together, then wind).
• Mounting Bracket & Rod - The mounting bracket and rod provide a stable structure for each of the eight spools to be fastened within. Holding all of the spools together firmly in a compact form factor. The mounting rod has been designed purposefully to the shape of a cylinder with both the top and bottoms cut off slightly for ease of printing without the need for support. The main component of the mounting bracket other than holding the mounting rod is the wire pass throughs which are dimensioned so that they provide a firm but loose grip on each of the wires coming off the spools. So that they are pulled through the pass through easily to the desired length the spool will stop rotating and the wire will be held in place while the wire is cut. (TIP: Use tweezers, needle nose pliers or pliers to get wires through pass throughs if it is difficult and try to rub the wire back and forth to loosen passthrough until desired grip is attained - if required).
• Locking Pins - The locking Pins hold the mounting rod in a fixed position stopping all of the other spools from rotating when only one of them is pulled. (TIP: Use a blade to scrape off excess support below the rod of the pin to desired thickness so that pin has a firm but not tight fitment through the mounting bracket and rod).
