Description

The Bambu Lab AMS can only hold 1kg spools, with this adapter you can use the AMS with smaller spools.
Just stick your small spool on the adapter and start printing.

Make sure to remove the small spools from the spool holder after printing, otherwise the small spools may start to slip on the spool holder because the PLA starts to bend under the pressure after a while.

If this still happens, you can stick a piece of adhesive tape over the clips so that it holds better.

I typically buy gold, silver, and copper filament on small spools and use them for accents on multicolor prints. The external filament holder therefore will not work. This spool holder makes the AMS even more powerful. Thank you. P.S. if the reels become loose on the spool, I simply reprint the 6 hub stays. They print in about 20 minutes when done by themselves, and are a cheap and quick way to make the model last forever.

Excellent print, quality is very good. Unfortunately inner dia is larger than the spools I had, but will come in useful since I wasn't aware the AMS didn't like small spools. This one goes on the shelve but will hopefully come in handy later.
