Modular Frustration (Ludo) Board Game 3-8 players

This is a modular version of the game frustration (ludo). It is designed to have between 3 and 8 players. Each player's “card” is connected to each other by magnets in the corners, one above and one below to allow to be connected to one another in any order (make sure you get the polarity the right way when installing them). The spaces are concave for the play pieces to seat into, so even if you knock the game, the pieces fall over but stay on the space.

There are two versions to choose from, one which will print the coloured spaces together with the “card” (AMS version) and the other which prints it all separately and you just push the pieces into the holes (I recommend this version, mainly due to not testing the AMS version and it taking almost 3 times as long than printing it all separately).

If printing the spaces inserts separately, I recommend using a 0.2 nozzle, as well as for the play pieces. 0.4 works as well, but due to the size of the pieces, they don't print as smoothly.

There is a pause at layer 125 (0.4 nozzle) or 180 (0.2 nozzle)  or 90 (AMS version 0.4 nozzle) on the play pieces to allow a 5mm weighted ball to be placed inside to add extra weight to them, I have used a stainless ball bearing but something heavier like lead or tungsten would be better if attainable.

The card piece is currently orientated face down as I wanted the carbon fibre effect on it, the holes do not need support, only support needed is for the corner overhang. The speed settings are set to default for the textured plate, if wanting to print on carbon effect plate or similar, you will want to slow down the initial layer and initial layer infill to 12mm/s and don't use glue.

Don't forget to change the colour of the play pieces and the 9 coloured spaces for each card.

There is also a case and a die, the case writing doesn't need support. The play pieces and die fit in the bottom of the case underneath the card sections as can be seen in the photos.
