Description

This compact and user-friendly tyre tread depth measuring tool is designed for 3D printing enthusiasts. Perfect for ensuring road safety, it features:

  • Print-in-Place Design: No assembly required; it's ready to use straight off the printer.
  • Dual-Sided Measurements: Quickly check tread depths from 0 to 20 mm with precision.
  • Seasonal Guidelines: Includes the legal minimum tread depth (1.6 mm) and recommended minimal depths for summer (3 mm) and winter (4 mm) tyres.
  • Easy Color Customization: Separate objects for each color make it simple to switch filament or paint details.
  • Keychain-Ready: A handy corner hole lets you attach it to your keys for convenience.

After printing, gently bend the model in the direction shown in the photo until you hear a click or feel the middle part loosen.

If it remains stuck, use a flathead screwdriver (or tool with similar shape) to push it down to the gap open, separating the parts for measurement.

Don't forget to set your own colours before print! Each part is saved as a separated object, so it's really easy to recolour entire object.

Whether you're a car enthusiast, safety-conscious driver, or just want a practical 3D printing project, this gauge is a must-have. It's also a great gift for Christmas or birthday. Print yours today and drive safely!

Important: It might be better to use PLA, as according some, with PETG there is a chance that both parts remain joined after a print.
