This wheel motor has a serious design flaw, the cast aluminium wheelflange causes  galvanic corrosion on the wheel axle, eating material away and allowing dirt to get past the gasket. the ball bearing get worn out and eventually the planetary gearbox wears out due to the exessive axle clearance. this wheelmotor last about one season. then it needs to be replaced. at 160-200 euro per wheel motor the total cost of ownership of this mower gets totally out of control.

With this overhaul kit you can overhaul the wheel motor for 2 euro's on PLA. the more simple sliding bearing has a greasing mechanism for easy maintainance and is easy to replace at the end of its lifespan.

Make sure that the wheel axle turns smoothly in the mounting plate. otherwise sand the hole until it does.

the flange -with-pin design gives the wheel perfect traction without the need to overtighten the central wheelnut like the original design does. the PLA wont hold such forces. just tight the nut gently.
