Description

Simple and easy to print Death Star Christmas Ball to hang on the Christmas tree, on the window or anywhere else.

 

You can print with 0.16 layer height and an infill of 8-15%. No support needed and nothing has to be glued.

Printed perfectly. Half way through the print I had "one of those thoughts" and chucked a bell from a small Lindt Bunny inside. Now we have a "Jingly Death Star"

Brilliant idea (with the bell)! Nice. However, the print without support is also flattened at the bottom

It turned out so good! We give each other ornaments each year early for Christmas and this one is for my teenage son and it turned out so well! Thank-you, great design.

Very nice! What did you do for post processing and what filament did you use? Looks like some dark washing.

Thank you! I did do a fair bit of post processing; I printed in Elegoo Black PLA, smoothed with Bondo Glazing & Spot Putty and 400 and 2000 grit sandpaper, coated with black satin spray paint, and sponged on Silver Leaf Rub n’ Buff. It was my first time using Rub n’ Buff, that stuff is so cool.
