Description

This is my own custom model of the 10th doctor's tardis from doctor who. I tried my best to keep the proportions as accurate to the show as i could. It is designed to be printed. I layed the pannels flat with minor supports in the ridges underneath that were easy to remove. You will have to sand some of the joints a little but they are not very difficult to sand.

Other Issues:This is a good attempt, but I had issues with the front and back door frames. They came out very rough. Also was disappointed to find that the signage is printed on paper. To get the sizing correct for the signage is not going to be fun.

I just noticed that these are lying upside down on the print plate, just print them the other way around The signs are too small for a 3D print, simply measure them, scale to the appropriate size, and print on paper✌️

Nice model, little bit of filing to get a snug fit was great meant no glue needed. Modified it so I can use as a Christmas tree topper and made 3d printed signs and windows. FYI if you drill out the hole for the light with an 8mm drill bit it perfectly fits lego studs if you dont have clear filament. I also used a lighter to add some scorch marks for weathering.

A bit tight to connect the pieces, but sanding them solved the problem.

Cannot be assembled, each hole is too small, and they don't fit at all

I made this a long time ago before I knew what tolerances were, each insert is the exact same dimensions as the holes. if you take a file to the inserts though it is possible to get it to fit, it just takes a little work. I'm planning on remodeling this tardis to have tolerances to fix this. in the mean time you can download the other newer tardis I posted and that one should fit together right off the print bed, I tested that one and it's a tight fit but it does not require any filing

does this need ams? or is it manual color compatible

someone made a print profile for me and has the lamp and windows on the same file and that would need ams but mine was actually made on an old ender 3, so just print the windows and lamp separately and everything else is blue and can be printed together

I would post my own profile but I posted this before I got my p1s and I remember how flawed this design is because I made it several years ago when I didn't know what a tolerance was, but I'll be remaking it soon with tolerances accounted for so that it won't require any sanding or filing to assemble and I'll just post it as a v2

I'm still a beginner Just print the windows and the light separately I only print in one color and didn't realize I would then need to insert two files

Where did you get the graphics for the signs?

I have found some searching google images but they don't really work correctly. If you find some please reply here. Obviously some people have some that work, I wish there was a link provided to correctly scaled 2d images to print.

eryone matte navy blue pla filament on Amazon, it's a shockingly close color to the 10th doctors tardis
