Description
An enclosure / housing designed to fit the Blink Mini 2 camera. This enclosure makes the camera more indiscreet and may act as an additional visual detterent and may also assist with mounting in some scenarios.
It incorporates a cable entry hole at the back (designed to allow the standard USB-C connector to pass through) and also includes a plug which clips in to fill the cable entry/exit hole and this also angles the cable upward slightly to reduce water ingress. It has a single keyhole screw mount on the top to make installation easy and also features an internal drain channel to help any moisture / water ingress to drain away.
The camera is a nice friction fit and generally requires something long (e.g. a screwdriver or similar) to push the camera out from the rear (through the cable entry/exit hole) although printer and filament tolerances may vary. The cable entry ‘plug’ is a tight snap-in fit and may break the tabs when removed so you may need to print additional ones if you intend to test fit or remove the cable for installation etc. It's a very quick print and can easily be duplicated on the build-plate if required.
Please note the housing is not specifically designed to add any additional weather proofing or security to the camera whatsoever and has not been tested for any length of time so please keep this in mind and use at your own discretion. I printed mine in PLA Basic, but you may find another material (such as PETG) to be more suitable for longer term external use (I'm no expert on this).
