Tripod Adapter for Action Camera 1/4″ 20 UNC

Designed (in Onshape) to mount an action camera on a tripod.

This adapter uses the correct 1/4″ 20 pitch UNC Unified Coarse Thread for tripods!
A lot of adapters seem to have Metric 6 mm threads, that is incorrect and can possibly damage the tripod thread!

The footprint of this adapter measures 40 mm in diameter and can house tripod threads up to 8mm in length.
(A longer thread WILL lead to damaging the adapter as in the photo)

To complete the adapter you will need one (Metric) 5 mm nut to be inserted, see pics.

Note: the first fit will be tight, I recommend using a tiny amount of silicone oil to help the marriage ;-)
