Due to the exorbitant price of reliable reciprocating polishers on the market, this conversion kit was developed, inspired by the electric drill rotary saw file module.

Besides the printed parts, some additional hardware is needed.

40mm M3 screw x1 for camshaft

15mm M3 screw x1 for clamp

10mm M3 screws x4 Two for securing the fixing rod to the module body, one for securing the polishing head, and one for temporarily locking the flexible shaft of the die grinder for easy installation. This can be omitted if your die grinder does not have this hole or has a built-in locking mechanism.

6mm M3 screws x4 for the remaining screw holes

5 M3 hex nuts

5mm M2 socket head cap screw x1

Some grease lubricant, petroleum jelly or expired tetracycline ointment can be used.

Notes:

1) Due to the great variety of specifications for die grinders with rotary structures, please modify the fixing structure according to the actual situation. STEP files are provided for your adjustment.

2) The cam has certain requirements for material hardness. Please choose suitable materials. I used a thermoplastic elastomer for testing and it passed.

3) After adjusting the length of the M2 screw so that it can be driven by the cam without jamming, please use a file to polish the threads to extend the life of the cam.

4) If you encounter left and right shaking due to opening precision problems, please modify the parts yourself.
