Description

Steampunk Inspired Spaceship

Design

This steampunk-inspired spaceship is a blend of vintage industrial design and futuristic space travel. I tried to use filaments that would mimic the brass and copper elements. It features exposed gears and mechanical parts visible throughout the hull. The gears are functional and can be rotated by just moving one of them manually. I used olive green translucent materials for the domes to give it a vintage glass look. It has many smaller pipes and miniature designs to showcase the steampunk design.

Print

This model mainly uses 3 different colors - Bronze Metallic (Inland PLA), Gold (Inland Shimmer PLA), and Olive Green Translucent (BL PETG). The included 3mf file shows the models in different build plates with suggested colors. I used 0.4mm nozzle on my P1S on Textured PEI Plate.

Assembly

The model has many smaller parts and most of them press fit snugly. However some parts need super glue for better assembly. The details of the assembly is included in the attached documentation. Overall its a fun model to print and assemble.

If you have any suggestions to improve the designs please let me know in the comments!

Edit: The 3MF file was missing the front cannons/guns. They are now added. Sorry for the Inconvenience.
