Main body printed in BL PC with 5 wall loops and Gyroid infill. Spool in BL PLA-CF. M3-20mm socket head bolts worked fine in the X1-Carbon with more thread inside the machine than the bolts that fasten the OEM external spool holder. My M3-20 bolts weren't fully threaded but anything longer that isn't fully threaded will possibly expose the unthreaded part when inserted (and that's a problem). I had some extra small outer diameter M3 washers which worked fine, but standard issue M3 washers won't fit in the bolt recess. It would be great if the recess could have a slightly larger diameter so commonly available M3 washers would work. The main reason I like this design over side mounted spools is the more direct filament path seems to be more reliable when feeding extra soft TPU (e.g. Fiberlogy FiberFlex 30D) which I've found challenging to feed if the path outside the printer isn't fairly direct. Overall this is a great design and I'm thankful it existed so I didn't have to design/prototype etc my own.

Printed this version after trying original flush to wall version and like this offset version much better. Had a little issue with Sunlu small spools that only have 41.6mm center opening, but with a little wiggling I was able to get it on the roller. Like that the filament is fed without curve into the P1S feed line. Thank you for the design.

Printed very well and dimensions are accurate. Very well made for 1Kg spools and let you see your roll which I like much better than the roll being hidden behind the printer.

Print was accurate, no issues with bed attachment of the roller and it fitted very well on the bearings. Really appreciate your time in remixing it.

I enjoy the print since its much easier to change filament in my case. I dont need to move the whole printer away from the wall anymore.

Hey how did you guys get the rounded bottom part (where the spool sits) to be nice a smooth? Mine came out with stringy lines at the bottom... the rest came out perfect.
