Description

Blade dispenser for x-acto #11 Blades.
It fits 20 blades.

You need 8 magnets 4x2mm. A 9th is optional to hold the blade in the tray.
You can also use a rubber band (1.4x16) if you want the tray to close again on its own, it's not necessary though.

Supports can be removed easily (to remove the ones in the rubber lane, just use a x-acto knife).

To assemble it, if you want to use the magnet in the tray, place this one first. Then place the rubber band on the tray in the little hook. Insert it and pull out the rubberband though the opening in the back and secure it on the bottom.
Glue the sidepanel (I just used CA glue in the slit and a small drop on each corner. Make sure to not glue the tray to the sidepanel.
Insert the magnets in the lid and use the lid to insert the remaining 4 magnets in the base. You might need to use some glue to secure the magnets, it depends on how true the size of you magnets is, mine are holding by friction alone.

Now you are ready to load up your xacto blades, I personally use the allenkey and put it in the little hole in the blade and use it as a guide to fit the blades in the base. You can also insert them one by one, if they get caught by a magnet, just slide it in the hole.

If you have the rubberband, just press the case a little and the tray will stay open, this helps with picking them up.
To get them from the tray, just slide them off. It's easy to see how I do it in the gif.

The best way to close the lid is sliding it from the back, so that the magnets won't catch some blades.

Happy cutting.
