Description

These are my spring lowering cups for Traxxas GTR shocks.

I was building a new set of GTR shocks for one of my RC dirt oval cars and was told I needed Associated B6 shock cups and ends. Turns out they are sort of expensive and I'd have to buy a bunch of other parts I won't need. I run some droop in my shocks, so if I didn't use those shock cups I would have too much preload on the springs.

So I broke out the calipers and got to work!

These are designed to work with the stock GTR shock end, but don't utilize the bolt. The opening is angled out to allow you to turn the shock end to clear the suspension arm for either side. These cups lower the spring position by 8mm, so I wouldn't recommend any more droop than that (I run 6mm).

The outer wall can be easily removed if you don't like the look of it.

****UPDATE****

I have updated the model with better self-supports that you simply pull off of the final printed part and have added a print profile for a version that uses PETG HF with a PLA support interface.  NOTE! If you change the colors you will need to reset the PLA→PETG HF flushing volume back to 800mm^3.
