Forrest-Class Starship

This is a 3D printable model of a ship I redesigned, “U.S.S. Soval / Forrest-class” created by “RedShoulders”

I originally designed the model to be both a pencil sharpener and a fridge magnet, as such, the model is separated into parts. The bridge and rear hull are both removable for the sharpener functionality. The Lower Panentary Sensor Dome has a hole cut into it for the magnet to be placed in. The main hull can be printed as just one piece if Preferred.

Fictional History:

Built in the 2200s, the Forrest-Class was a small but well-armed light cruiser designed to explore the furthest reaches of the frontier. This was the first vessel that was designed to use the new hull skin as opposed to the older hull plating used on the NX or Walker classes. The Hull skin was first tested on the older Daedalus class.

After the first 2 ships were constructed 17 more were ordered, this would be from NCC-1200 to NCC-1219. The U.S.S. Soval NCC-1207 would be the 7th ship constructed.

Klingon aggression in the mid-23rd century as well as ongoing border conflicts with the Empire necessitated a well-armed Starfleet. Starfleet learned its lessons from the Romulan War and the Xindi conflict of the 2250s. This vessel included Phaser Turrets, Photon Torpedoes, Hyper-Atomic Missiles, Deflector Shields, as well as Lazer turrets which were used as a point defense system. To show its more peaceful nature, weapons were mostly hidden.

The Forrest class served the UFP and Starfleet with distinction for more than a half-century.
