608ZZ P5 Steel (2PCS) - EA028

Description

This is a roller that is used to crease cardboard or other material. It uses a single 608 skateboard bearing (press-fit) to make rolling very smooth and easy.

Easily creases thick cardboard to make folding very easy. Handy for working with other cardboard construction tools.

Small enough for little hands, sturdy enough for big person use.

Assembling

The screw is meant to have just enough of a tolerance to allow for it to be screwed in, but not enough to work itself out over time.  I recommend doing a test fit of the screw and handle prior to installing the roller on it.

  1. Gently work the screw back and forth in the handle, allowing the two bodies to clean up any printing artifacts.  You can use a small pair of pliers for this part so that you do not strip out the screwdriver slot
  2. Place the 608 bearing on a flat surface, center the roller on top, push down with the palm of your hand to seat the roller on the bearing
  3. Insert the roller into the handle and guide the thru-axle-screw through
  4. Use a small screwdriver (an S2 SL4.0 bit works great) to gently turn the screw back and forth a little at a time
  5. Over a short period of use, the roller will “open up” and roll more and more freely
