Description
A simple quick-release buckle that keeps a firm bond, yet is optimised for printing without support and designed not to break. PLA has been just fine for me when I have tested in the following orientations (red surface against the bed):
If you want a different width, just reach out and I can make and put out different ones! :)
EDIT:
After suggestion have I made another version of the Male clip available as QRB Uni 25mm MALE v2, which is designed to fit the first version of the Female clip.
Improvements:
- Improved strength - printed in PLA the first version held up to 3-5kg and then decoupled, but in the second version this has been greatly increased to break over 30kg!
- Reduced fatigue - the stress from the connection is reduced with more material that can be elastically deformed.
- Chamfered the most accessible edges - this prevents elefants footing and makes it more comfortable to hold.
- Correctly oriented - the clip is now also oriented in the orientation in which itis supposed to be printed in.
- Anti wiggle heel - better fit and less wiggle between the parts
Easier to connect - tighter between the tips to make it easier to push the parts together.
- Added a 20mm version
- I cannot guarantee its strength as I made changes to make it work and I cannot test it now.
